Publicity Campaign: Dirty Versachi - ‘SLUT PRINCESS ft. DEVAURA’
Dirty Versachi’s new single ‘SLUT PRINCESS’ with Devaura is a maximalist power fantasy. A pop-infused electro rush built for the moment when you’re at home, getting ready for a night out, looking in the mirror, and deciding you are not going to overthink yourself tonight.
“This track is about taking up space, being loud about what you want and refusing to make yourself smaller or more palatable for anyone else, giving yourself permission to be seen exactly as you are,” Dirty Versachi says.
Featuring Western Sydney based artist DEVAURA who is known for her powerful vocals and carefully crafted lyrics, this track plays like a shared scene rather than a guest verse. The collaboration began after the pair connected at the ONE OFF TRAKS songwriting camp in 2024. They then wrote and recorded the song in Sydney before workshopping it across online sessions. “DEVAURA and I had been orbiting a really similar world creatively for a while,” Dirty Versachi says. “We both make music that is a bit left of centre, theatrical and emotionally heightened, but still wants to hit in a real way.”
The world around ‘SLUT PRINCESS’ extends beyond the track. The video leans into a visual fantasy with an early 2000s vibe and the playful feeling of getting ready in your bedroom before a night out. Still glamorous, but never quite clear whether you are watching a performance, a party or a breakdown. Fashion, queer club culture, pop iconography and camp sit at the centre of the visual language, matching the song’s attitude without taking itself too seriously. “I always want visuals to feel like an extension of the music, not an afterthought,” Dirty Versachi says. “With this one, we were trying to create something that felt like you had stepped into the ‘SLUT PRINCESS’ universe for three minutes: hot, theatrical, chaotic, flirtatious and completely committed to the bit.”
The visual was directed by Riley Mackenzie and filmed at Offbeat Collective Studio in Marrickville. “Everyone involved understood that the point was not to make something safe or overly polished; it was about leaning into the fantasy and giving the song a visual identity that felt just as loud as the record.”
Dirty Versachi, who is now based in Meanjin (Brisbane), has built a reputation for pop that lives in the tension between glamour and chaos with punchy electronic production, sharp hooks, and character-driven writing. Their current era is defined by collaboration as world-building, an exchange of energy, humour, references and intensity that thrives in queer and queer allied creative spaces.
The single follows a period of rapid creative momentum for Dirty Versachi, following their first international songwriting trip to Los Angeles in late 2025. “LA taught me to trust instinct and not be precious,” they say. “Sometimes the strongest thing in the room is just one honest sentence, one ridiculous hook, one melody that makes everyone look up.” Dirty Versachi is no stranger to the international game with their music regularly being played in clubs in Mexico and having DJd at Berlin’s iconic queer club Schwuz.
They are currently deep in a new creative chapter, with more music and collaborations on the way, alongside an ongoing expansion of the wider Dirty Versachi world across music, visuals, performance and club culture. “I have been writing a lot of material that feels even more direct, fun and unapologetic. There are songs that are filthy, euphoric, emotional, sometimes all in the same breath. I want to keep making music that gives people permission to be loud, weird, sexy, soft, dramatic, whatever version of themselves they are feeling that night.”
‘SLUT PRINCESS’ is part of Dirty Versachi’s next big chapter, a glimpse into where they’re heading: more confidence, more collaboration, bigger worlds, and absolutely no interest in behaving.
