Publicity Campaign: Nic Palmer - ‘Forever Holiday’

Pop-rock artist Nic Palmer (she/her) unveils her latest single ‘Forever Holiday’, a raw and evocative track exploring the universal longing for escape and the complexity of love. Released via inthenicoftime, ‘Forever Holiday’ is available now on all major streaming platforms.

Raised on a cattle farm outside Tamworth, NSW, Nic Palmer’s musical journey began at the family’s grand piano, continued through school dance performances and eisteddfods, and blossomed into songwriting and guitar playing in her twenties. Drawing inspiration from visual art, American country music, and artists like Daniel Johnston and Sonic Youth, Nic’s sound is intentionally stripped back, lo-fi, rhythm-driven, and deeply honest.

‘Forever Holiday’ delves into escapism, the kind born from separation, longing, and the emotional push-pull of missing someone you love. “It’s about those moments when you’re apart from someone and the feelings are so intense, you find yourself dreaming of a reality where you never have to face those difficult emotions,” Nic shares.

The single was written and performed by Nic Palmer, with production by Dan Frizza (Brooklet Recording Studio). The result is a track that is both polished and rough around the edges, blending heartfelt songwriting with experimental soundscapes.

Nic’s recent years have been marked by creative growth and recognition. She has worked with acclaimed producers and musicians including Nicholas O’Connor, Brett Hamlyn, Andy Downer, and Dan Frizza. Her music has earned spots in the Top 30 of the Australian Songwriting Awards (rock, indie, and open categories), with finalist placements in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Nic regularly performs live across Northern NSW, both solo and as one half of The Nickeys.

Nic is currently planning a tour with The Nickeys across the Northern Rivers region and preparing full band shows in Lismore before the end of the year. She is also set to release her debut full-length album ‘Unmasking Eyes’, recorded with musicians from Australia and the USA, by early 2026, with a second album already in the works.
