Indiana Williams debut EP ‘Digital Heartbreak’ is a soundscape for your love in lockdown. Wanting the record to be something personal yet relatable the EP shares what Indiana Williams has learnt about themselves through this age of digital love and heartbreak.

“The EP explores concepts of different emotions and experiences you go through with online dating. The feeling of a ‘One-Sided Love’, becoming a ‘Heartbreaker’ through ghosting and one-night stands, feeling like you can ‘Picture This’ perfect relationship with someone you haven’t even met, reminiscing the feeling of being ‘Connected’ to someone even when it would never work out and finally, always feeling ‘Uninvited’ to be part of someone else’s life.

Growing up in a generation where online dating is the new norm has been such a journey for myself in relationships and I wanted to share how I’ve felt through that experience” 

Music has always felt like a natural part for Indiana Williams, with his father being a musician and his mum playing him R& B and 2000s pop – from Destiny’s Child and Craig David to Britney Spears and Cassie. It was these influences that helped to shape the sound of Indiana Williams which you can hear in his music today.

2020 saw Indiana release their debut singles ‘Picture This’ and ‘One-Sided Love’ which collectively saw them rack up over 95,000 plays on Spotify. Following the success of this Indiana released their third single ‘Heartbreaker’ with a visualiser to leave you wanting more.

In support of the EP coming out Indiana teamed up with videographer Ally Chen to create a visualiser for the single ‘Connected’.  Filmed on a Super8 camera, the video helps to tell the story behind the track of staying connected to a love that is no longer.

“The track really focuses on reminiscing on that feeling of desperately trying to let go – the text messages and pictures that you keep or have from that relationship. The constant reminder of something that didn’t work out. I wanted to express that through a really dramatic soundscape.”

‘Digital Heartbreaker’ is the new soundtrack to help you get over that love that didn’t quite work out. Put it on, turn it up and dance away those (digital app) love blues!
