Publicity Campaign: Jam on Raw Dough - Breathe

Emerging from Naarm’s independent music scene, Jam On Raw Dough unveils their latest single ‘Breathe’ – a track that embodies optimism, resilience, and the transformative power of creative release.

Following two albums written in the solitude of lockdown, Jam On Raw Dough (the recording project of multi-instrumentalist Jordan Javier) steps into a brighter sonic space with ‘Breathe’. While previous releases reflected the isolation and intensity of those times, ‘Breathe’ is a testament to clarity, growth, and moving forward.

“‘Breathe’ came from a period of personal upheaval—family illness, loss, and the kind of anxiety that creeps in quietly,” Jordan shares. “It was the first time I sought help, and through that process, I found tools to cope and move through it. This song captures that journey, but it’s ultimately about hope and coming out the other side.”

The single was written and produced entirely by Jordan. The final mastering touch was provided by Trevor Carter from Studio 52.

Jam On Raw Dough’s sound is shaped by a spirit of letting go, drawing organic influence from Original Pilipino Music (OPM), Brazilian samba, bossa nova, jazz, and rock. The result is an upbeat, rhythmic track described by the singer/songwriter as “sonic relief”. Music that feels like a breath of fresh air, designed to lift the weight off your shoulders.

‘Breathe’ marks the beginning of a new chapter for Jam On Raw Dough, a project born from lockdown’s creative vacuum and now thriving as a full band on Melbourne’s live circuit. “I promised myself I’d finish this album, and it’s been a labour of love that I chipped away at alongside my band. I’m proud to finally share it.”
